Giggster requires a 50% security deposit hold for every booking on our platform. This is held in addition to the total price of the booking. 

It is important to note that the security deposit is just a hold on your credit card similar to a hold placed on your card when you check into a hotel. 

You may see the security deposit hold multiple times on your statement because we can only do holds for six days at a time. After six days we release the hold and then recapture it. No money is ever withdrawn from your account during this process. 

If no claims are opened, the deposit is automatically released 72 hours after the end of your booking. We will not withdraw money from the deposit except for in the case of damage or overtime reported by the host.
